hello to all, fairly new to raising chickens. We have 2 Americunnas that are laying an egg a day, and 2 Rhode lsland Reds that are almost 6 months old, not yet laying. one of the reds seems to be having some sort of leg problem. thought could be bumble foot, however nothing found on closer inspection. she won't put any weight on the left leg and keeps it pulled up close to her body. at a loss for possible cause. the group does free range on weekends and in their rather large chicken run/coop during the week.
if any suggestions to what this might be, welcome all..

maybe your chicken stepped on something sharp while foraging? if you have a rooster that tried to mess with her too early, he could have broken her leg. i hope she gets better!
