I'd love to come but don't want to commit just yet. That's about a 5 1/2 hour drive for me, and its on a Sunday so I'd have to let my daughter miss school on Monday. She'd kill me if I went without her. We've never been to a chickenstock before. I'd also have to find a sitter for my 2 yr old and 9 month old baby boys. BUT if everything works out alright, I am looking for some Lavender or Lavender Split pure Silkies, and some of baregretchens Buff Laced Polish. I bought some off of her last year (a mix of colors) and the post office killed them all.

Sooo I would really like to get my hands on some more

Hopefully everything goes right and I can come.

Want me to bake some loaves of my homemade organic multigrain bread? Or I can do it as rolls for the chili and maybe some deserts, homemade cookies/brownies?

I can bring something, a dessert, maybe, or whatever is needed
I'm not sure what kind of eggs/chickens I want/need, but as it gest closer to the date, I will know and check everyone's postings.....

If I make it I will have hopefully have some Bantam Salmon and Blue Salmon Faverolles eggs. I may also have started pairs and maybe chicks. It all depends on how the girls are laying and how these hatches go.

Hi all, I came to this event (the first annual) last July and it was so much fun! I got my first three pullets (barred rock, blue orphington, lavendar ameracuna) and learned so much from talking with folks there. If anyone is new to chickens and unfamiliar with chickensocks, its really worth the drive-- very nice people who don't think you are crazy, neat looking birds, tons of information. I am planning on coming and would really like to add a brahma and sliver or blue laced wyandotte to my small backyard flock.

Hi Baregretchen, my zip is 21672. Toddville, MD. How far are you from me?

Hello! Well, as the crow flies...really quite close, just across the water! But, as we must use the Annapolis bridge, probably a good two and a half hours.
