make it 1 female duck just 1 DH has already threatened and I have to listen since I have MORE Gumpsgirl eggs under a broody LOL...I sold 2 POL hens today..My 1 jubilee orop I hatched from HINKJC :-( and another I had had for a bit..Didnt have a mate for the jubilee and the other I had alot of..She was a sweetie but so werent the couple who bought them-they only had 3 other hens and needed more friends Hey I just made more room!!!

Oh gosh, y'all are gonna have so much fun!! I wish I could be there, but there's a horse show that weekend...and the horse show won (by a nose. It was a close decision!).

Gretchen, I'm glad that you are going! It will be a blast, I'm sure.

So...I do have some birds for sale that Gretchen has generously offered to give a ride to the chickenstock, if anyone is interested. I don't want to send them with her unless they are sold beforehand, however--I don't want Gretchen to have to bother with hauling them back home if they don't sell. Anyway, I've got:

* Black split to Lavender Ameraucanas--one small flock (2 roosters, 3 hens). About a year old, laying well. I need to sell them as a group, $60. I have a few of their eggs in the incubator & fertility is good, but I haven't hatched any yet this year so I don't know what they will produce. In theory, you should get 50% visual lavenders, 25% black split to lavender, and 25% black not split. These are from Harry Shaffer in PA.

* Pair of black Ameraucanas--nice quality. I bought them at a show last year, the hen was swapped right out of the show coop. They should also be about a year old. The hen is laying but I haven't hatched anything from them yet. $40.

And then maybe:

* Cuckoo Marans chicks. Not from hatchery stock, all from good dark eggs (for Cuckoos, anyway). A lot are feather legged, some are not (I have one clean legged rooster in this pen). I have a group that is 4 - 5 weeks old now, should be 5 pullets & 3 cockerals (one cockeral is pretty dark--slight possibility it's a pullet, but I'll err on the safe side & say cockeral). $40 for the group, I don't want to split them up. I also have a few younger chicks, not sure how many--if someone wants the older group plus a couple more pullets, I'll sell a couple of the younger girls along with the others for an additional $5 apiece.

* I might have some Ameraucana chicks (blues) and/or bantam Polish chicks. I also might be able to part with a couple of large fowl white crested black Polish chicks, if anyone needs any.

I say maybe on the chicks because they have been offered to someone locally first-- but I don't know what breeds/how many she needs yet, so after I hear from her I'll have an "official" count of what is available. If you are interested in any birds--adults or chicks--or have any questions, just let me know. I can get pictures tomorrow. The split Lavs have been free ranging for months and they are mess!! But they're happy birds.

A few pages back I saw that there was going to be a silent auction for eggs--is there still a slot open? If so, I could send some eggs up for that.
