Ann she is sooo perdy!!!

Thanks... she is gorgeous, as far as all the ones I have hatched. I paid good money for the eggs. Do you still have a mate for her?

I do not:-( I actually sold him a month or so ago to a real nice couple from Watertown. He got beat up by the lav roo a while back and got tore up..He was so bloody and it took over a month to nurse him back...He was fine but his comb and waddles were bright red -not good enough to mate with Gerri at all:-( I would insult you with the redness-it didnt really show red until almost a year! I think I sold him for 5$ PQ because of it-he was nice and all but not mateable for a SQ hen like yours:) I sold him with a bunch of split lav chicks

Gerri has had her share of being nursed. She got beat up by one of my standard birds (all gone now), and after a vet visit and countless vitamin E rubs etc, she is as good as new. I am not big on showing, but I may show her in the Fall. Her feathers are all growing back beautifully, almost back to normal. She was an excellent patient too. Yeah, I am looking for a nice dark comb like hers. I think this ChickenStock is my only hope to find her a mate.. I don't mind spending the money for the bird, but shipping costs are too high..

I know what you mean. The shipping has stopped me in my tracks from buying birds and having them shipped. Im on a very strict budget anyway so to spend 60$ on shipping wasnt feasable-I came close a few times and came close to driving hours to get them but in the end...I paid bills and tell myself ..someday

LOL I love what I have already:)

I would rather pay the $60 towards the bird itself.

Anybody want any Large Fowl WC Black Polish chicks? I think I've got 4 one-week olds, and probably a few 3-week olds out in the chicken building. From nice parent stock, you could end up with show quality birds (or at least nice breeding birds). They are great layers, my large fowl girls. $5 each, straight run. Too young to sex right now. Would have to be prepaid by paypal 'cause they'd be hitching a ride with Gretchen, I won't be there.
