N.E. Chickenstock 2011!!!!!! Who's up for it??

It's raining

and I'm not looking forward to catching wet chickens...looking for the carriers. It will probably stop soon and we'll just have a cloudy overcast day.

Well, here I sit in NYC at the death bed of my grandpa, who, as much as I love him, manages to get sick or,in this case, actually die, everytime I plan anything fun!
I dont need more chickens, but I WANT more frizzles hens...even tho I have a brooder full of some very special ones....
Take pictures, have fun...I wish I could be there!
Next one, definitley!

Hey heritagebirds and cocosandy!!!
I,too, wish I was there!!!! I really didn't know much about this fantastic event until several weeks ago.....or I would have planned things out better. With chicks hatching this weekend I wouldn't dare go anywhere too far away. I hope to attend next year!!! Maybe there should be "mini" Chickenstocks........maybe call them "Condensed Chickenstock"(smile).
To everyone there in PA, have a wonderful time........and buy,sell and trade many chickens!!!!! The sun is trying to peek through the clouds here.....hopefully there too!!! And it's NOT raining!!!!

I just got back home from the chickenstock. Awesome, awesome, awesome! We had to leave early because we were spending too much time in the part of the barn with all the chickens for sale. I went thinking I was only going to buy a few white silkies, but you know how that goes. I think I bought a little from almost everyone. I got one of Gretchens BLRW, a few lavender ameraucanas and I don't know what else.

Steph- thank you so much for all your hard work and opening up your farm for all of us. Did I overhear your husband saying something about next year?! If it's true- I will be there.
You did an excellent job.

We just got back!!!!

Had a GREAT time! Got to meet sonew123, nava, Luvins, baregretchen, jerseygirl1 and others I can't remember!!!

Sold all my extra chickens and only brought ONE home!!!

Thanks again to Steph for hosting a great party for all of us BYCers!!!

I'm so GLAD that everyone had a GREAT time!!!! I knew you would....that's why I so badly wantewd to attend!!! But, there's always next year!!!! I'm dying to meet everyone in person!!! And to see all their gorgeous chickens!!!
1mamahen, thanks for posting the pics!!! I see Jerseygirl1 there selling raffle tickets(smile). I'm sure she'll care for Big Papi until she drops him off here!!! And I'm so glad you sold all your chickens....I told you you'd have no problem doing so!!!! Maybe I'll get to meet you'all in person next time.....until then, there's always emails.......

I just got home a little while ago and put everyone away

I came home with 1 chick to replace a bird for another person....and 6 chickies for myself! It was awesome to see some people who were at last year's and to meet others! I only found a home for 1 of my 4 TSC chicks though.....lol I already posted the remaining 3 on craigslist!

Oh and thank you Steph for hosting!!!! (and for my chickies!)

Oh and I won a 5 gallon waterer and a big bag of Layena from the raffle!!!
