Don't worry, it happens! It was crazy there at the end! I had the slip in my pocket, I should have put it on them or something for ya! You did a great job!

I think we needed a whole table JUST for the eggs! Maybe do it with sheets of paper for each carton? Then we could all fight and try to outbid each other!
gig.gif
Maybe add some birds to it next year? That would be cool too...

Who won the incubator? I was looking thru the EggCartons.com catalog and saw it, I was wondering what kind of thermostat it had, if it was the wafer kind or the better kind? Fire it up and let us all know how it works!

Don't feel bad about tossing out the still good eggs! (Been there, done that!) At least *you* didn't toss out a still live bunny!

The doe had scattered her week old litter, and I swear, I pulled it out and checked it, it was cold, not moving and dead. I put the box on a table in the sun while I went inside to save the one that WAS alive. Later when I went back to clean the box out, here is this bunny squirming around!
ep.gif
Which is why I almost always bring the *dead* ones inside to warm them up, because sometimes, they are just pretending to be dead! Or they're bunny zombies...

How is the little Call baby now? I so want Call ducks...

nope PM me your addy and I am shipping some eggs your way! next year the auction will be different but the same in some aspects-and yes Im bringing a table and other things:)

I think I tossed the last batch of duck eggs out early. I would have done the same with the ones in there now if I hadn't gone back and looked up how long they took!

If we did this more often I'd be bankrupt, my parents would throw me out, and I'd be on Animal Cops as one of those animal hoarders because I have no control!

I was thinking of doing a pool party chook social and BBQ at my place. I worked out a barter this year with a guy who owns a pool company and it will be open

There is also a huge playset for kids and lots of stuff to do. It would not be a chicken swap though more of a hang and talk thing...

BTW I have been getting strange looks I think people think the scratches on my wrists are from me being a cutter or needy for attention

who would believe I forgot to hold the feet of a peacock when stupidly not waiting for fowlmamma to help me shuffle it into my cage. I have court proceedings next week I am gonna have to wear long sleeves, it will probablt be a heat wave that day too

hi Susan
How are your peafowl doing. Did you get a pair?
Amazing that you won the chicken catcher.
But now that you have it, you probably won't need it.

Jason did the same thing over the winter. He was hanging something over the back door for me, and the chair decided it only wanted 2 legs instead of 4
barnie.gif
He went front and his hand went right through the glass in the door. It sliced his wrist open directly next to his veins, and stopped just before it hit his tendons

We don't have insurance so emergency room for stitches was out... Luckily we had super glue on hand!

I hope to never need it actually as all my birds are handled a lot and I usually dont have to chase them.
