hahahahaha....I love my chickens.....today I consolidated all my chicklets into one big brooder....from 1 1/2 week old dutch and d'uccle bantams up to the older frizzle serama/cochin roo and serama hen I got from Steph......I'm not ready to put anyone outside and I thought it might be easier to integrate now rather than later. Everyone is doing great....but now instead of following the little frizzle ameraucana/marans cross around....all the itty bitties are trying to sleep under the frizzle rooster! I looked in the brooder, can only see the edges of a couple of the little chicklets, and the roo just looked at me like "seriously?......I ain't no stinkin broody!" .....but he didn't move....lol

Has he "crowed" for you yet? It's so funny!! I love those little roos. I've had a few that were just wonderful with the little little guys. I have a frizzle polish that is an acting surrogate. One of my marans crosses makes a nest on his back and goes to sleep.

He has not "crowed!" I've been listening for it too....lol​
