If you like. You can use a cat nail trimmer and just do a little at the time to not cut the quick.

I put a cinder block in the coop and they use that to claw and trim their beaks. Ya, I was suprized too.

We have a cinder block in the run and even had a small one in the brooder and the chicks peck and ever rub on it so their beaks look fine but two of them did some serious damage to my palms this morning during their critter check so I am going to try to trim their nails. I hate to trim the dogs nails because they are black and I can't see the quick at all.

I am guessing that clipping the nails of a squiggly chicken is going to be challenging. Does anyone have any piratical advice?
