No new posts on the subject of NAIS?? Have we found new windmills to flail at already? How many of us contacted our local, state, and federal officials to let it be known how we feel about NAIS? How many of us took the time to study and read up on NAIS? Because it WILL impact us all.

The May/June issue of Hobby Farms has an article about the latest expansion of NAIS. I also found the following article that some might find interesting. Just google NAIS expansion. True, there are some doomsday nuts there, but also some good information.

ok i still dont get how it effects security of our country.Its also going to cost alot of tax payer mony to keep it going and to have people running around checking all these animals.What national security risk is my little flock of chickes and duckies?
I personaly will not live in a place that tells me what kind of animals i can have and tells me what i can and can not build on my property.
To me the NAIS seams like a waste of money and resources.I belive we have biger issues to worry about.
do fish in a fish tank count or wait people keep some bugs,insects and arcanoids as pets.
It just all seams silly to me,why does the goverment realy care who has what pet...

Capitalism = You have two chickens. You sell one and buy a rooster. You then hatch more chickens.

Socialism = You have two chickens. The Government takes one away from you to give to someone who doesn't have a chicken. They also take half of your eggs.

Communism = You have two chickens. The Government takes them both away to be raised on a "State" farm and gives you back how ever many eggs they think you need.

Just a little analogy that I heard one time only they used Cows and Bulls instead of Chickens. This post made me think of that.

And I did contact all Three of my US Congressional Representatives by email and phone. Two Senators, One Congressman
