I have a broody that has been setting for almost 3 weeks. So far..nothing happening. When I took her off the nest today to check the eggs, I noticed that her breast was nearly bare! I have no idea what's going on. She's eating and drinking..gets off the nest for her super poo. Why would she have no feathers on her chest? Thanks!

It is normal, most broodies do it. I think it is to keep the eggs warmer.
Good luck on your hatch

Thanks y'all! I figured that was the case....but I wanted to get some advice from you guys. She started with 7 eggs, but with her still in the henhouse..somehow more were added to the nest. I'm assuming she will have a staggered hatch. I really hope at least one hatches soon so she can be the mama she wants to be.

My frizzle is doing that too. She did it before on another set which she hatched, but the feathers on her underside have never grown back and now the skin is calloused
