Mine is a Singer Touch n' Sew 2. I've had it repaired a couple of times. Last year I brought it to a store in Boaz and had them go through it and replace any worn parts. Boy, that machine is heavy to move around.
When I wanted to trade in my then 20-year-old Golden, the dealer would only give me $30 credit on it. I figured I could sell it myself for twice that, so I took it to my go-to repairman for a quick tune-up. He strongly advised me to keep it, saying that "these old machines might as well be cast iron. They last forever." Was he ever right! With minor maintenance and regular cleaning, my 55-year-old Singer is still running strong. With the original hard case and all the accessories (including the book,) I was recently offered $350 for it. I turned him down with no reservations. That old machine is my tried-and-true workhorse and a treasured piece of my childhood!

My afternoon was taken over with helping hubby bring down a long standing dead tree. We had to make it fall between the baby pine tree and the chicken coop. Hubby did the cuts, I pulled it over with the Jeep. He cut up the wood, I broke up the branches for kindling. 4 buckets of kindling, a small stack of wood.
