Feed and water the chickens, dogs and ducks. Figure out what's for dinner tonight. Do laundry. Take Cheeks outside to hang out by the rest of the flock. Do dishes and clean up.

1-Let my little ones out of their coop today for some free range time and I scooped out and spread shavings.
2-Fighting off an allergy headache, so I tried to take it easy.
So much for taking it easy when my dog needs a bath.
3-Gave Kramer a bath. We both wound up soaked, so I’m about to take a shower.

Went to auto parts store for a fuel pump Hubby ordered. $250, ouch!

Went to farmers co-op picked up Scratch-feed.

Tried to install the 3 window blinds I bought yesterday, I got one up. For some unknown reason I purchased 2 of one size and 1 a size smaller. Have know idea how I did that! The smaller one will be returned.

More cleaning in the shed...throwing stuff out.
Spend quality time with my tiny rooster as he is going to be confined in the shed today, he makes rattling sound on his chest when it is cold and windy like today....

Get him to help me clear stuff in the shed out

Gleaned onions—we probably got a few thousand pounds all total
Watered my friend's plants for the last time before they get back.
Did dishes.
Will study...it just hit me that I've got five days till school starts.

study for Latin quiz

I bought a Beginner's Latin book. The first half seemed easy enough. Wow, the second half... much more dense stuff in there. I'm bogged down and haven't gotten back to it. I'm thinking I'll start over at the beginning. Maybe take it with me when I sit with the chickens!

I’m enjoying learning Latin, but not grammar terms! Seriously, why did anyone think that the word ’pluperfect’ would help anyone remember a concept?!

My dad said he learned more about English when he took Latin in school. Sentence structure, word roots, etc.

Yeah, where did they get the word "pluperfect," anyway? The first time I saw that in print, I read it as "pluper fect" and wondered what a "pluper" was.
