Name 3 Things You Did Or Will Do Today

study for Latin quiz
 I bought a Beginner's Latin book. The first half seemed easy enough. Wow, the second half... much more dense stuff in there. I'm bogged down and haven't gotten back to it. I'm thinking I'll start over at the beginning. Maybe take it with me when I sit with the chickens!
I’m enjoying learning Latin, but not grammar terms! Seriously, why did anyone think that the word ’pluperfect’ would help anyone remember a concept?!
My dad said he learned more about English when he took Latin in school. Sentence structure, word roots, etc.

Yeah, where did they get the word "pluperfect," anyway? The first time I saw that in print, I read it as "pluper fect" and wondered what a "pluper" was.

* Recover from eye doc (eyes dilated)
I hate this so much, walking out into the sun with eyes like a stuffed animal. Hope everything's okay.

This afternoon, I...
Spent an hour with the chickens, just hanging out.
Made some decent progress in Silksong.
Did two loads of laundry.

My afternoon was taken over with helping hubby bring down a long standing dead tree. We had to make it fall between the baby pine tree and the chicken coop. Hubby did the cuts, I pulled it over with the Jeep. He cut up the wood, I broke up the branches for kindling. 4 buckets of kindling, a small stack of wood.
A "hold my beer and watch this" moment. I had to do the same with a Sassafras. DW was on the phone, WTH is he doing now, used the truck to pull it down. Told DW I did the math, 100 feet of rope, 20 feet of tree.

Have some things in mind but hoping for a better offer. :D Did take the pup out and a stand off. Two fawns and the pup 15 ft apart with the dog wanting to do a meet and greet and a fawn cautiously coming towards him with me holding the 20' leash. Thinking to myself, you better smarten up fast little fella. But deer are curious.

Hubby found Freya nose-to-nose with a fawn out in our field. Yeah, hope the deer learns.
