Name for Marans black sex-links?

I’ve always heard multiple names for black sex-linked chickens: Black Star, black Beauty, etc, but I was wondering if there were specific names for specific sex-linked crosses? I’ll have the potential for Marans sex-linked crosses with my BCM rooster and Cuckoo hen and just wondered if there was something special I should be calling them besides barnyard mixes . I’ll also have BCM/BR crosses too. They will all look the same, just didn’t know if they were called the same.

I’ve had both “Black Beauties” and “Black Stars” before from hatcheries and feedstores. Didn’t know if their names signified their crosses, or if it was whatever appealing name someone decided to give them to sell them.

The names you usually hear are just marketing terms hatcheries give them.

If I did a Marans sex link, that’s what I would call it.
So my buyers would know that both parents are Marans just different colors.
Assuming they understand how sex links work.

I think that’s because the hatcheries don’t want to use the same names.

Also I think they try to give different names depending on the breeds used in the cross.
For instance, they might use a certain name for a gold sex link cross using a RIR roo and a RIW hen and then use a different name for another gold sex link cross using a SS roo and a Delaware hen.

Yeah that’s what I was wondering. I tried researching it a little, but can’t come up with anything concrete. I think I’ll come up with something completely random and amazing so that everyone will be blown away and overwhelmed. I’ll start the next chicken fad with some simple black sex-linked chicks.

With the proper marketing, you can sell anything. Not that I’m trying to sell. I’m just trying to raise pretty chickens that lay pretty eggs lol.
The first sex-link chicken I had was called a Black Star. It was one of the prettiest black sex-links I ever had. This year I bought some Black Beauties from a local hatchery and the surviving one has the be the saddest, ugliest chicken ever lol. My BCM roo and CM BR hens are turning out so nice, I have high hopes of better looking sex-links.
