I bought two hens from a farmer many years ago;

he said they were "Dominikers". I assume he meant Dominiques and I'm fairly certain he was wrong. I've been trying to replace them for years. I finally found a picture. Can anyone "Name that chicken"?

Well they may be california whites. If they were they would lay white eggs and be about the same size as a leghorn. It is also very unlikely they would be broody, though there are always exceptions to the rule.

cHARMIN. Northern. Snowball. Coconut. Meringue. Sugar. flour. Salt. Mary (as in virgin). 300 thread count. Um, I guess I could go on an on....

That looks like the color is Excequer. I was going to say orpington but the tail isnt right. She looks large to be a leghorn (californie white?) but maybe thats the way they are. Pretty.

ETA Maybe she is just puffing out because of the chicks.

Thanks for the input. After checking out all the suggestions, I'm pretty sure it's a California White. I even
found a source to buy them---Welp Hatchery in Iowa.
