Name that gender -- 6 chickens w/ PIX

Hi all --

I'm new to the poultry world and have six chickens that are supposed to be female. What do you think?

1) Drizzle, ~ 20-wk frizzled cochin bantam:

2) Princess Clucky McSassypants, 10-wk BA

3) Bob, 10-wk SLW

4) Midnight, ~20-wk silkie

5) Little Lady, 10-wk EE

6) Padme, 10-wk EE

Tho I can't help with gender, I have to say They are some pretty chickens.

Thanks, all! That is EXCELLENT news! We cannot have roosters in our city, and my kiddos (and I!) would be devastated to have to re-home any of our new pets. Bob = my husband's idea of a funny name for a hen. The frizzle is the sweetest of the lot -- she loves laying on her back on my daughter's lap and making this pretty trilling sound. We're loving this new adventure!

Silkie is the only roo I see

Midnight your Silkie is a little bit of a tough call. A lot of hatchery quality "tophat" breeds end up with huge combs, even though they're not supposed to. . . I'm actually leaning on boy though, telling by the waddles and the exposed skin around the mouth.

Oh no, that would be a bummer!! But Midnight is probably the one I have the most doubt about. S/he came as a pair with the frizzle, who will be *very* lonely if Midnight turns turns out to be a he and is relocated. Guess I will have to wait for an egg or a crow??

What a good mix - I think all Pulletts accept for the Silkie, but I am not an expert on Silkies.

WOuld make some interesting babies thogh!
