Hello all!

On Thursday I became a first time owner of 6 peachicks, and I got an assortment so they are like a box of chocolates. I'm not too sure what exactly we got, other than I know for 99% sure we have four IB's, as they look like normal peachicks and are pretty plain.

One is much lighter and far more yellow than the others, and another looks like the other IB four, but has a white section on its' wing.

Here are all the chicks. I have written IB for the ones I know are India Blue, and ?'s for the two I am not sure of.

The chick in my hand is so much lighter than the others, right? Here are a few photos by itself.

This is the other chick who doesn't look quite as dark as the IB's, and also has a white streak on its' wings.

Does anyone have any ideas on what they may be?

I found these very interesting photos on Texaspeafowlfarm.com, as far as the first yellow chick goes -

The left chick is a IB, and the right is a Purple. Doesn't the one on the right look much like my first little one?

Here is a Purple by itself at two days old, the same age as mine in my photos. They look so similar! I just can't believe it. I guess I am just looking for some confirmation and opinions from ya'll. As far the second chick with the white on its' wing goes, I have no idea what it is.

Thank you all for your help!

I really hope the extra expense for the assortment paid off and I got at least two that are something other than IB, but I will love them all the same no matter what.

Congratulations on your new babies.
They all look like indian blues to me
I had a light one hatch out last year i thought sure i had a different colors but sadly it ended up being a IB also.

Well, I guess I'll just have to see how they turn out, then. Maybe someday I'll have some interesting mutated peas. :)

i think it is kinda neat to watch them grow up and then see what they produce, kinda like my guineas, started with 3 different colors and ended up with 6 colors after a couple years, never know what is hiding in the gene pool .

Yes, I am very excited about that too! I am hoping to order a few more chicks every year, adding to the gene pool and possibly having more opportunity for different colors and patterns!
