name that predator!!

I am thinking about a member of the K9 family.
Nothing in the picture to judge size by is a problem.
Two feet off the ground I am thinking fox.
Three feet off the ground (the height of a 55 gallon drum) brings a coyote to mind.
Remember whichever animal it is its head must be higher than its front paw when it is reared up on its hind legs.

Most fisher and other such animals have 5 toes.

Did you notice how easily it shredded that one inch poultry wire? Well I'll bet that is how it finally gets inside, by biting, gnawing, ripping, chewing, and pulling the chicken wire into a tangled mess.

well if you see claw marks he may be a raccoon or fox. if there is no claw marks in the print then it is a type of cat. i would recomend a live trap and some tuna and dont stop setting the trap until there has been no evidence of pests for around 5 to 7 days because there could be more than one predator wanting your chickens.
