Any ideas out there as to what this little white girl might look like when she is older or what she is? Next to her is a blue Silkie/Frizzle, I believe. Hopefully a lady... We have had chickens for a couple months now, so I am still learning what to expect.

Now if she and her little buddy next to her can grow a pair and stand up to our cranky Ameraucana!!

Thanks for the help!

That's great - thanks! The gentleman we purchased from said she *might* be a Cochin mix so I'm excited to watch her mature.

I LOVE her white beak and black feet. I hope they stay that color!!

This is still a new lifestyle for us, but one thing has been such a joy: Watching our girls develop personalities, attitudes and finding their place in the pecking order.

No one is laying right now and I don't even care. Working in the garden and having the company of them and our dog (everyone gets along!) is beyond fun.

I agree! Chicken are fun, amazing animals! :)

She could be a Sultan, or a silkie mix. She doens't have the full beard and topknot I'd expect from a Sultan. I know hatchery quality can leave something to be desired, but if the seller thought it could be a mix, that's more likely IMO.

What is the difference between "hatchery quality" and a breeder? Still a work in progress here. :)
