Name this Cockrel

[Crazy chicken lady 77]

This chick hatched in July and was my favorite of the 8. I named it fancy when it was little and fluffy, but it's definitely a roo. I have several cockrels and will decide which to keep based on behavior as they age, but right now this one is at the top of the keep list, right behind it's dad named Love Dr. Love since it's a roo, which hatched ladt October 20 on my anniversary and is a sweetheart light brahma cochin cross . Any name suggestions for Fancy, doesn't seem masculine. Lol.... I guess I should stop naming the littles. I've had 24 hatch this year and have only named 5, but... looking fo for suggestions

He looks like he has the personality of that neighbor with the great stories kids love but their parents worry what he will say next.

Ha! I was just about to say Franklin myself (but diverted to Toby)—so kudos to you for beating me to it.

It reminded me of when I used to give my pets the most ridiculous names on purpose. I once had an iguana named Oskilo (which means dog in Greek) and a frog named Gata (cat in Greek). I thought it was absolutely hilarious to name them after the wrong species—it gave me endless amusement every time someone asked about them.

Nowadays, I still end up mismatching names, but it’s no longer intentional. I think it’s just a side effect of being old, having too many creatures and too little caffeine. haha.

Years ago when my son was about 3, he named our cat "Fish" and our betta fish "Cat." I never was really sure why, lol.

He could totally pull off Fancy, lol. Doc Holliday is on my list, but so far, I haven't gotten a cockerel that it fits.

François (fran-swah) sounds fancy and sounds a littlebitlike Fancy. And the French do seem to love feathered legs. I'm with the others that say he could totally pull off Fancy, but I get that sometimes names you come up with for chicks just don't seem to grow with them.
