Name this pup:

Our last one only lived 5 1/2 years.

A friend of mine had a b&w one that was named Nero. Great dog, sadly they had to put him down 2 years ago due to cancer.

Your pup is very handsome! Good luck with him.

How about something after a Danish Land mark? I have an English Mastiff whom I named Ben...as after the clock in England..BIG BEN. Seemed to fit and everyone loves it!! Oh yeah, and he knows he is in trouble when I use "BENJAMIN!!!!"

I absolutely love the big breeds, and yes, its a shame their lifespan is so short. BUt they are soooo loving, its well worth it!! I just love my "snugga-bear'...LOL

He wasn't very old in this pic:

First name that came to mind was
Ferris from Ferris Bueler's Day off. Just knowing Danes ( not many ) seems to fit to me...

Here is my present big girl Maegan an English Mastiff, she is a sweetheart and she really loved and respected Harley.

Giant breeds are great......really easy to house train too.

Love the giants, and what a great bunch of name ideas! I like to see some well-thought out and well-read suggestions. I teach dog obedience classes and can't tell you how bored I get with the same names constantly showing up in classes (I won't list them, so as not to offend anyone).

Here are mine;
Nero
Dante
Oscar (or Oskar)
Kalel
Phinneaus
Basil
Henson (after Jim Henson)

Oh that pup looks like a Winston if I ever saw one!!

I like Puck, too, though (though I wonder what that might be taken to be when heard yelled across a distance??

).

No offense to Liz, but Rex is boooorrrrring!

Oh, and I'm digging Ferris, too. Hehe. Love that movie. Good name for a goofy but kind-hearted troublemaker!

I had a Dane as a teenager. A she, Lacey. She was such a cool dog! She was almost 8 yrs old when she passed.
