Names for cockerels...

That is so very cute! Prince could be name for one. So you have a Prince and a Princess.


I thought about that but it just didn't fit either of the boys. Hoping they stay going into the chicken house at night to roost soon, before it gets very cold.

Yeah, sometimes my new babies have a hard time learning the ropes. I just make sure to set them in the coop every night til they learn, ( I have also been known on cold nights to go out and check them in the middle of the night and place them back on roosts if they got out, haha. ) For the love of chickens <3

The babies grow up in a smaller pen before getting time with the rest of the flock while still roosting in their little pen at night. Last night was supposed to be in the 20's so I wanted them in the house where it would be less cold. I placed them on the roost and tonight they were already on the roost in the spot I put them the night before. Smart little guys.
