My first flock, I let my son and nieces and nephews name them. So, we had an Aviva, Charlotte, Violet, Reba(from the singer), Chickaletta, and Mini T-Rex(my son wanted a pet dinosaur)

Am I a terrible chicken mother? I have seven chicks (my first) that I've had for a month now and still haven't figured out names for them. I lost one on day three and she had a name - I think because I was treating her and spending lots of time with her. But the rest - I come up with names but they just don't seem to stick.

Same here, but I only have 2 chicks. My daughter-in-law picked out a name faster for my soon to be granddaughter.

I pronounce it how it’s spelled (vuh-nella-pee, I guess) but my brother named her that so I don’t really know.
