Chickens are like cookies. 1 turns into 50
This might just be me, but the more people who tell me what they named their chickens the more I feel like this is true: Hens get to be named after herbs and other plants (Basil, Parsley, Peppercorn etc.) and often times old fashioned, pretty names like Mary, Polly, Abigail etc. or sometimes just random foods.
But roosters are given all kinds of names. classic male names like Steve, Frank, and Bob are all common ones. I also see many given "funny" or "humorous" names like Frog, Steve the Magical cheese Wizard, (yes that's a real name) and many more.
What names did you give your hens, and what names did you give your roosters?
My hens are, Marmalade, Taylor Swift, (that wasn't my choice I let my sister name her lol) Georgie, Melanie, and Cleo. My rooster was named Mr. Frank Mosasaur...
