Names!

So, I love reading about other peoples coops and their hen/roo names!
We currently have 17 pullets/hens and 1 roo all named! And I recently got 19 new chicks which I look forward to naming once they get older! Do you name all of yours?!

I sure do! Mine chickens are all flowers. My ducks are fruit themed (except Peanut; hubby named her and ruined my theme). My dogs have "people" names. My cats are music themed (musicians, song titles, lyrics).

The goats have random names. Idk why.

Do you name all of yours?!

I name all the ones that are distinctly different than the rest; some have "birth-marks" which help me to spot the difference. Some of my chickens look identical, so I have a hard time naming those.
Probably 90% of my flock is named (almost 50 chickens total)

Love it! We have a few that look similar and they have names..they just might get called the other one some days if I’m not looking close enough!

Gold Wyandotte- Clementine
Frizzle- Marshmallow
Two EE- Rose (white) and Blanche (brown) also have two barred rocks we got with these two who are Dorothy and Sophia ( my Golden Girls)
Light Brahma- Gertie and Winnie
No frizzle gene frizzle - Ladybug
Blue cuckoo marans roo- Fred
Female blue marans- Ethel
We also have 3 Australorps my daughter named Cow (), Anna, and Elsa
2 RIR- Lucy and “Red”
A blue Jersey giant- we call Jersey Girl

Our goats and cats are random! Goats are Pepper, Lupe, Penny, and Daisy
Cats are Beau, Frankie, Cupcake, Baby, Elvira, and Binx. All barn cats although some come in sometimes
