Hello BYC Bloggers:
I am having a brain freeze on naming our chicken business. Could anyone help with this?
Brief info. on us:
We just moved to a 6 acre mini farm which has a 30x50 chicken coop. We have worked tirelessly in remodeling to welcome our beautiful Black Copper Maran's, Isa Browns, and Welsummer chickens.
We live in North Central Indiana. Which is known for many large chicken and egg producers. Actually, we neighbor one of the largest egg producing company's in the Midwest.
We are only Organically fed, NON-GMO, free range eggs and birds.
We are selling chicks, pullets, eggs, and eventually meat. We currently are home to 140 birds with new chicks coming this week.
We love our girls and the boss that watches over them.
I thought of Corn Crib Market in hopes of putting up a corn crib for the seasonal store front also selling over flow of produce from our garden. Not sure if we will be able to find a corn crib to put up at this time.
Any thoughts. Your input is greatly appreciated!

I'm not good at this sort of thing but, something like from egg/chicks to dinner/sides. Okay just don't hit me

That's a good thought. My boss has built up his business from nothing twice and he always managed to have a clever logo and a catchy slogan.

His 2nd company was "On Services". His slogan was "We're On it!" and the logo was a variation of the "On" symbol for just about anything electronic. We service emergency power equipment in the field at customer's sites.

They could also have a slogan like :

"Chicken, from egg to adult, to you."

or simply:

"From egg to adult, to you"

Maybe have a logo of a chicken wearing a Hoosier colored sweater(Don't use the University Logo!) flying with an egg in her claws. So what if chickens can't fly. These chickens and eggs will fly to you. (Assuming they deliver chicks and eggs by air mail) The logo would imply performance.

Be sure and sell T-shirts and coffee mugs with your logo. Maybe sell waterers or feeders with the company info. It's free advertising if they buy it. With certain sized orders, include a couple of T-shirts. You can have them made for $5-10 and it may generate more sales. Be sure to include your website on any merchandise.

Did I just name a company? That's cool if I did.

I accept payment for naming in T-shirts (XXL) or about 4 Welsummer and Black Copper Marans female chicks. (just kidding......kind of) I would like to see a picture of your sign, logo, or slogan, whatever you come up with. Good luck with your venture.
