Naming my farm

You could pick a beloved pet or something like that.
My place is called Sadie Lane Stables. It's really only 2 OLD broke down horses, a bunch of rescued dogs & cats, and next week will also be home to a small flock of chickens. Sadie was a boxer who passed away before we even bought the land. We just had decided on the name years ago and it's been ever since.

I like your suggestion, when I was showing my horse, and at times when I have sold extra tarantulas at a reptile show and sale...
I used my husbands email address, which incorporates his middle name.
Black Brant.
I don't have it a an official name, but when we do it will be Black Brant Farm.
I think you should go with something you like and love. Who cares if it sounds like a last name.
Many years ago I worked for a cafe named after the owner and his wife.
Stelor Cafe for Steve and Lori.
And a few years back I boarded my horse at a place that people could not quite get the name right on.
The place was SUPPOSED to be call Green Meadows.. but a lot of folks referred to it by the owner's name Dave Judd..
So it became Dave Judd's Green Meadows.
And where I keep my chickens and horses now is named for Arabs, Appaloosas and Pintos.. Arapto Acres.

The only thing holding you back from choosing THAT name you like.. is you.
Create something unique and fun.. I would go for a blue tardis/police box with a chicken with a LONG multicolored scarf around its neck.. and an egg with either K9 on it, OR with Dalek
bumps or appendages on it..
IF you can't tell I LOVE Dr. Who... well I do!!

We have had little placard with Black Brant Training Stables.. and Black Brant Tarantula Ranch... cuz it was funny and cute.

Sometimes you can look around you for a farm name. Trees, rock formations, rivers and creeks can all lend their name to you. Here in east Texas, dogwood trees are popular so Dogwood Farm would be a good name. Or Peach Creek Farm, Weeping Willow Farm, Angelina River Acres, Granite Gardens............what is your area noted for, or what tiny detail in flora and fauna could you bring out by naming your farm? Not knowing your general area limits suggestions.

Make sure it is something most people can pronounce and know what it means. Lofty, beautiful obscure names that have to be explained leave people confused. We used to own a large business and my goal for advertising was to keep it to about a third grade level. Anything fancier than that and people just didn't get it.

Maybe that's because we're in east Texas where flip-flops shoes are considered calculators to help us count..........
