Nankin Rooster?

I was told he was pure nankin rooster? I asked sex on an overseas nankin group and was told not a nankin because his dad is

too dark...but then was told usa nankins are different? Is it nankin Rooster?

The roo is darker than norm. But variations can occur. He just would be DQ if shown due to to dark if color by not being breed specific. Everything about the rooster father seems breed specific, minus the darker color and lacking the buff carried into the tail feathers. But not usually faulted on that part.

Your chick could turn out to be the correct color as he matures- To be the breed show standard.

The tail feathers should start to get black in them shortly- As the chicks pictured have. If this does not occur over the next month, than he would not be a purebred/ breed specific.
