National Anthem

What in the Sam H#!!! were they thinking ! Christina can't sing anyway (IMHO) and to let her sing the National anthem! Where was Reba, Sandi Patti or Jim Cornelison's version!

I remember back in the day when every morning at school we stood, faced the flag, put our hand over our heart and said the pledge of allegiance. At most events the Star Spangled Banner was played and people not only stood but they sang along. That doesn't happen as much now and is why people don't know the words.

The national anthem is not hard to sing, it's meant to be a march. People over the years have just kept raisin and raising that last note ( plus butchering it by adding six thousand notes and crud that don't belong in there.)

We could all sing along if it hadn't become such a spectacle... And ghetto-fied

I just listened to Christina's national anthem on youtube and my five-year old son came over and said," That's not very good singing."

I haven't heard a decent rendition in years. I hate it when they do all that yodeling crud. Hate it in regular music too. That's what the mute button is for. Just sing it the way it was written.
