Promised pics.
Here is the critter compound:
Shed on the left holds all their supplies & feed, next pen over is for the goats (who were out roaming when I took this), next is ducks, and finally the quail. Closer in:
And inside:
And here is our no-longer-lonely-virgin guy, Mr. Tumnus:
He's very proud of himself:
Here's our pretty new girl. She's twice as big as Mr. Tumnus, lol. Her name is Freckles (I have kids, what can I say):
But really, given her not-so-subtle seduction of Mr. Tumnus, she really ought to be named Mrs. Robinson. See how coy she can be?
And here are the three younger girls we picked up, in a growing-out pen. They are named Blackie (told you I had kids, right?), Whitechin (kids), and Lucy (me--to go with Mr. Tumnus):
And here's Mr. Tumnus again, enjoying (i.e., hiding from Mrs. Robinson I mean Freckles behind) the Virginia creeper:
There will be more pictures & story up on my blog... eventually.
Oh, two more--in the early pictures, you see the chain link. I did not completely enclose it in hardware wire today, but I did make progress:
And across the back:
I'll work on it a bit each weekend and have it completely covered in about a month I'm guessing.
