Today I went cycling to the Delta, + or - 100 km of journey and I'm very tired, but I want to tell you all what I saw...
The first ones are this cows, They are very big but I didn't see them till I was in front of them, I have affright
The second was this purple swamphen, in spanish "calamón" Porphyrio porphyrio
It was wanting to pass to the other side of the fence, was very calmed and didn't scare of me, I could catch it and take some photos, didn't show me any aggressiveness. It was tired and have an eye with something going wrong in it, tryed to bite me, and they have a strong beck, but don't make me anything. I think that if I didn't catch this bird, probably someone take it to their home, It's a very beautiful bird, but what I did Is let it go to the other side of the fence, when I lave it, I saw that can fly. With the course of the day I saw a lot of this swamphens and all of them when I was in 30 metres + or -, flew up and hide in the high grass.
In "riuet vell" the place with more birds that don't scare, with nests of terns in the water near of the ovesrvatory and inside the ovservatory, a lot of nests of swallows, one of them with fledgling babies and the other wit pink babies. The only photos that are good, I taked them below the observatory, a lot of bats sleeping inside the wood. They are very small and very cute.
One of the most emotionant thinks I found is this nest, I think that it's a avocet nest.
The worst thing in the delta is this, find birds that never are going to fly other time. I was thinking to phone the guards of the natural park, but they can't help this birds, his wing is completly broken, I found 2 more seagulls, all thre diferent species.
Finishing, this donkeys that they were very funny until they spit me...
