It is a great morning on the Farm today! My first EVER chicks have hatched! Well 4/6 have Hatched! I had one of my Wyandotte's go broody and because I actually have a nice Rooster now I decided to let her Hatch some of the other girls eggs as well! So genetically its going to be a very interesting journey for me since I know next to nothing! lol
For reference: Below is my Rooster "Doc Holliday"! His dad was a purebred RIR and his mom was a speckled Sussex Hen! (He's my profile Pic)
I'll comment All of the current chicks and their moms in the comments! Any comments are welcome! I just love to post here so I can keep track and if you have any ideas on what color eggs the EE mixes will lay it is welcome! I'm just so excited!!
*Momma and babies will be moved to a separate area (chicken tractor) once the other two eggs hatch so they can all have time alone away from the flock!

they look lovely, and the broody must be very tolerant to let you have a look while they are fresh hatched and still wet.
