Naturally Hatching Eggs!

It is a great morning on the Farm today! My first EVER chicks have hatched! Well 4/6 have Hatched! I had one of my Wyandotte's go broody and because I actually have a nice Rooster now I decided to let her Hatch some of the other girls eggs as well! So genetically its going to be a very interesting journey for me since I know next to nothing! lol

For reference: Below is my Rooster "Doc Holliday"! His dad was a purebred RIR and his mom was a speckled Sussex Hen! (He's my profile Pic)

I'll comment All of the current chicks and their moms in the comments! Any comments are welcome! I just love to post here so I can keep track and if you have any ideas on what color eggs the EE mixes will lay it is welcome! I'm just so excited!!

*Momma and babies will be moved to a separate area (chicken tractor) once the other two eggs hatch so they can all have time alone away from the flock!

Congratulations on your first hatch! they look lovely, and the broody must be very tolerant to let you have a look while they are fresh hatched and still wet.

It would be better for them all if you could just leave them be for a while. The chicks will be exhausted from the hatching process, and every time you lift the broody you upset the temperature and humidity control she is trying to provide for the eggs still to hatch.
Just be patient. She will show you them when the time is right.

You don't need to do this and it would be easier for all (inc you) to leave them with the flock. The rest of the flock will largely ignore them once the introductions are over.

Okay! My only thought with that is that the already hatched babies are getting out of the nesting box and exploring much to the panic of "Bunty" who is the broody hen! She is my sweetest girl. I've had her pretty much her whole life. I'm just worried the other hens might bother the chicks that are adventuring while she is trying to hatch the last two eggs. And food wise i got them medicated chick feed and I'm worried the other chickens will eat their feed before the new arrivals have a chance to get something!

Again, this is all new to me so advice is extremely welcomed!
