I need some help figuring something out. I happened to be out last night at 6:00 AM mountain time. I was trying to photograph comet Lemmon. When I was processing pictures after I got home, I noticed this.
I think I captured an Aurora on accident. However, it seemed to be in the wrong place. It wasn’t exactly north.
At the time, spaceweather.com showed a KP index of 5, but it rapidly changed later on in the day, within about an hour, actually.
Was there a geomagnetic storm going on at the time I specified? If it was an Aurora, what was it doing not exactly north?
Can someone please help me figure this out?
