I can't believe I haven't shared any photos here before.

This is from today. One of our cats caught this Western Kingbird chick; I rescued it before it was harmed. I took a few photos before bringing it back to its parents. :love

Glad you were able to save it. :hugs

A nice lush mound of Bazzania Trilobata, a species of liverwort, with a nice array of mushrooms. Unsure on species

Nice photos!

Been playing around with some astrophotography lately. I don't have a telescope, so I have just been shooting with my camera lenses. I don't have a star tracker either so I'm just taking short exposures off my tripod.

Not much to look at, but everyone has to start somewhere right? LOL. This was my first ever image of the orion nebula from back in 2017...

This was a very slightly improved image from 2018...

These were just single images and I have since learned that you need to take multiple images and stack then together to get the best results.

I just did my first image stack last night of the andromeda galaxy. I only stacked 15 frames but it turned out way better than a single image. I'm going to try and stack a couple hundred tonight if the skies are clear.

I just ordered a star tracker which will allow me to take long exposures of these objects. My results should improve tremendously in another couple weeks....

Nice. What are you stacking with? I've played with deep sky stacker and sequator. I find for my shots I prefer sequator, because DSS struggles a bit with landscape stacking. DSS is better for full sky and planeteary imaging though.
