NC/SC/VA/GA Meeting. Who would like to help me?

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, any and all question Will be appreciated. With working and working on the coop My brain is fried and the only ones I can come up with we all know the answer to....... Laura

I meant to do this a few days ago, but I've been so busy too, and now I've got lunch to make for 6 yr old's circus field trip tomorrow.
Between the computer, my new little chicks, and making sure all is well for the 2 doz eggs in the bator, it is very hard to wash clothes, dishes, cook, dust, and vacuum.

I am living right in the heart of Charlotte and have created a half acre "urban homestead" complete with a flock of ten laying hens (currently Black Austrolorps). I feel like a voice of sanity in the wilderness of urban values at times. Are there any other NC chicken :thumbsupfolks nearby? In particular, I am looking for someone to split an order from a hatchery since 25 hens are too many for my permit, and I want to get back to the RIR or NH Reds that are friendlier than these current girls. We had them before and they were so sweet, but aged out after a few years, so we thought we wanted a change. Bad thinking. We will go back to the even tempered ones.

There are some ideas in the works to have another regional BYC meeting..I think Peeps7 would like to organize it and I have offered to help her...might want to start a pre-interest thread going to get a tentative date and names of those interested. The last oen turned out to be a swap/sale/lunchoen/animal control bust, lol!! We'll leave out the animal control bust this time, lol!!! Anyone interested?

LOL!!! We had roosters crowing like mad in the parking lot of a major grocery store, chickens in cages everywhere and someone called animal control, the guy showed up ticked off!!! It was really funny!!

Yes, actually I am organizing another meet if I get enough people to say they will come.

I haven't been able to make a post because I've been so busy but if anybody is interested in having another meet then please let me know, I'll keep a list.
I was thinking about the Farmers market in Greensboro, somewhere in there. They have a good cafe there that we could eat at and I'm sure you wouldn't have to worry about animal control at a farmers market, lol. Thanks!!
