Near Miss Scare

I'm an auto damage appraiser. We have frequent flyers. They get rear ended often. Doing stuff just like you said. Their rates don't go up, because they are never technically at fault.

Watch out for people with rear end damage. Sometimes they are spastics and get hit a lot because of erratic stopping.

Glad the near mishap was avoided (at no small effort on your part!). I hope the other driver finally realizes how close she came to meeting her Maker, and starts paying more attention to her driving. BTW, I love your siggy line!

When I was studying to get my EMT license, we used to eat lunch while we watched films of auto accidents, births, etc. Oddly enough, people outside the class weren't nearly as interested in the films and the subsequent discussion as we were...

I think it was the comedian, George Carlin, that said something like this:

"There is no such thing as a near-miss...it is a "near-hit" !

(a near-miss might be a "slight-hit"....Ha-Ha !!! )

P.S. GLAD YOU didn't have a "slight-hit".

My mom was in a wreck a few years ago. Someone cut in front of her, and slammed on the brakes. Of course, she hit him. It was almost Christmas, and she was so worried. She was also changing auto insurance at that time, so even more stress was added. The police found fault with the other driver, the one who cut her off. Her old insurance company paid, and everything was fine. She was extremely blessed that time.
