I didn't need the coat hanger this time, but my dad used to say coat hanger and duct tape will fix anything! lol
Here are a couple recent pix of Lucky. I was unsuccessful at getting a brooding hen to accept him. All her other chicks were black. Maybe that's why she kept pecking at Lucky. He at least got to spend the night under her warmth!
I put him with another new hatch, so he's got a friend. He'll have about 6 more in 24-48 hours. Then he'll have 30-35 more in 12 days. lol
Here he is just before she found out he was there and started pecking! lol

One last shot so you can see his extra toe, feathered feet, and walnut comb compliments of his black Silkie dad. Everything else came from his Welsummer mom!
