Ohh, so there is 'hidden height' in there.....that's great!
The opening is still a bit of a squeeze, but if they can get in it's fine.
You'll know, over time, if it's going to be a problem...I'm guessing not.

Right. Because I do the deep litter method. The bedding in the coop is thick and deep for winter. Whenever I turned and raked in the coop, some of the poop would get in the boxes, so I put it on a platform to elevate the whole thing...
