Hello! I will have to look Minatare up, what other towns are near you? What kind of chickens do you have?

I'm just outside Bennington on 2 acres (Omaha suburb.) We're getting ready to build a coop and get our first chicks ever. We have no idea what we're doing, but I'm reading a lot and having fun planning! Was going to bring chicks home then build coop, but was advised against that. Going to build it, THEN get the chicks.

I got my first and second batch from Orshlens (I started to call them Wheelers

) I like Orshlens, there is usually always someone truely knowledgeable there.
I just got this batch from Hoovers Hatchery in Iowa. They are much cheaper and free shipping, all arrived alive (3 were weak but perked back up)
They do have a 25 minimum order though.

Hello, finally someone else from Western Nebraska, let alone the Panhandle! OrganicFarmWife, the biggest Town near Minatare is Scottsbluff which is way out west. Closer to Utah than we are to Omaha.
