I got my chicks about 3 to 4 weeks ago and within the last couple days I've noticed sores on the back of one of my chicks necks when I checked it today it was swollen. I put some hen healer on it but I'm wondering if there's something else I should be concerned about and or be doing for the check I just feel so bad for her right now.

She is being pecked by another chick. Are they all the same age? How many are there, and how much room do they have? Is she separated now? Is there any reason that they may be pecking at her, such as too much heat, too much light, not enough room? Do you check the temperature with a thermometer? At 4 weeks old they should be around 75 degreesF. What are they eating?

Currently it's four of them in a medium sized dog crate there is a heating lamp outside with about a 2-ft distance from the crate. They have plenty of room right now one of the chicks is exceptionally bossy. We keep it dark for the most part besides the heat lamp light. She isn't separated currently should we separate her

Make sure that he wound is covered with the wound cream, but I would try to get them into an open larger crate or box with a screen on top, so they don’t jump out. Having some things to climb on and dig in can give the active little ones something to do besides peck. Small roosts are fun to practice roosting. Are they moving to a coop soon?

We have their coop ready we just didn't think they were big enough to move out there yet if they are we could totally move them out there now
