G’Day from down under Chickhoona :frow Welcome!

I am pleased you delurked and hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

Great coop and beautiful chickens! :clap If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of them, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

I keep finding myself coming back to the site reading everyone's threads for questions I had so I thought I would sign up and join. I finally finished the coop I have been building which is my profile picture and my parents gave me my first four chickens three black sex links two rooster's one is a hen and I'm not really sure what the other one is but I'm sure it's some type of hybrid . They were born on New Year's Day i'm really excited I free-range them for the first time yesterday all worked out well for half the day so today they are out all day and I'm currently picking my kids up from school and I will go home and see how they're doing I can't wait to get home and see them

Welcome to Backyard Chickens ask someone about chicken math we are enablers
