need 6' tall, large run w slanted roof design

My 10 year old daughter (Bailey) designed the coop and the run. I've got he r "blue prints" around here somewhere, give me an hour to find them. If I can't put my hands on them I'll make you a sketch and materials list.

Very easy to build this type of run, took about a day.

DUDE! That is gorgeous!!!! make a coop page, we all want loads more pictures!

My run is NOT as pretty, but I put the thick stiff wire that is used to reinforce concrete on the top of my run. Perfect for snow, but raccoons would crawl right through it, so maybe not good for you.

It is gorgeous! Id probably put a tin roof on it cause of our sun and snow. Does anyone have a plan for a run just like this? Like what size lumber to use, measurements, etc.? Im still looking, but havent found one yet. Not even on this forum.

Materials list for 12' x 24' chicken run:

(4) 4x4x12' posts (approx $15/ea=$60)
(6) 2x4x12' (approx $6/ea=$36)
(8) 2x6x14' (approx $10/ea=$80)

(6) 1x6x12' (approx $5/ea=$30)
(3) 2x2x8' (approx $2/ea=$6)
(12) "Teco" hangers for 2x4 rails (approx $1/ea=$12)
5lbs. exterior 3" screws (approx $17)
(4) 60lb bags Quickrete (approx $3/ea=$12)

Door
(1) 36"x78" wood framed screen door from Lowes or Home Depot (mine cost $29)
(2) Stanley self-closing screen door hinges ($6.97 for the pair)
(1) 3" galvanized barrel bolt ($4)

Wire
(1) roll 48"x150' poultry netting (approx $60)
(1) roll 48"x50' poultry netting (approx $28)
5 lbs 3/4" poultry staples (approx $7)

Grand total is right around $450. Of course, if you reduce the dimensions you will also reduce the cost. We sized ours at just under 20sf per bird (15 hens) which seems like a lot but we are lucky enough to have the space.

Sorry - just some pencil sketches but you might be able to layout your project from these . The good news is your run will look a lot better than these drawings! Let us know how it turns out for you.
