Ok here’s the deal. I moved here from California to North eastern Tennessee. I had chickens, so I know about raising them. I will be getting approximately 10 chicks. I don’t have a way to build a coop. I have looked on marketplace and hardware stores, marketplace was not that successful. I need a coop that’s high, so that the chickens can go underneath. I’m not going to put the coop inside the fencing, it will take up too much space. Yes I free range. If you need more answers, please ask.
Thanks Betsy

I simply wouldn't use a coop then. My chickens personally hate my coop and they prefer to sleep in trees at night, which is both safer and preferable

All you need is some egg drop-boxes, and safe roosting areas for them to sleep. Something safe from both above and below. Mine mostly prefer the local yaupon trees we have that grow in crazy, weaving patterns everywhere

Not everyone can do that, I'd loose my flock in a week with all the coons and coyotes we have here.
Edit: coons, not coops.
