My hen was lay an wrinkled egg, so I checked out what should I do, I got answer that give her some antiboatic, and I did give her about 4-5 days. She get better, I continue to give to her another couple of days, she start get sick and drop egg yolk, and diarrhea... I think it was my mistake. Anyway she is getting better, but still not right after 4 days in the house. she drop egg yolk again, she has soft egg shelf inside her and I pull it out today. I put some probiotics on her food, and in water too. I think the antiboatic make her have sour crop, and her crop inside layer already get thick. What should I give to her except probiotics?? I have picture of her poop. Thanks!

It sounds like she is experiencing a reproductive disorder that is making her ill. Has she or any other in hour flock ever had any respiratory disease that caused sneezing?

No, my other are never have problem. She is the one that have egg shelf problem sometimes I beleive that because I gave her antibiotic causted her problem.

Antibiotics are sometimes given for a reproductive disorder. What one did you give? Reproductive infections and diseases are just very common in hens, especially over 2 years old.

Antibiotics may or may not help. A lot depends on what the problem is, such as salpingitis, and if the treatment is started early. Many times when symptoms start, such as when they lay a soft or shell-less egg or wrinkled shell, an antibiotic may not help. A vet could help you with the proper antibiotic. Baytril (enrofloxacin) is one that is banned in chickens, but is sometimes used to treat salpingitis. I doubt that the cephalexin hurt your chicken though.

Thank you so much for the information! I'll look into it, will see how my bird doing after couple of days, hope she can get better. Thanks again, I appreciate!

Her poop back to normal this morning ! 😊
