I just bought two Golden duck wing chickens male and female. They are just for pets, and I wouldn't mind it if they layed eggs for more chicks. I went out and bought feed from feeders supply, the feed is Purina Layena, the big blue bag. Would it be alright if I feed them that stuff everyday? They are old enough. I'm not raising them to eat the eggs, just for pets.

Sure, if she's laying age, it's fine. Layer is a good idea whether you're interested in the eggs or not, as it helps the hen make hard shells -- and a soft shell can get stuck in her and cause problems.

The first day I had them I didn't have any feed so I just feed them cracked corn. They love that stuff badly, but when I put that Purnia in there with them it seems like there waiting for the corn. So whats the deal with crack corn should I use it as a treat? Or are they going to starve them selfs not eating the Prrina waiting on me to throw the corn to them?
