For some odd reason, I can't think of a name for this one. I don't know if it is a girl chicken or a boy chicken. Any ideas?

This is my sticky chick. It got sticky in the sugar water the first day home.

Scout was named because it was sstanding next to Eagle (next) and the two fit together.

I think Eagle is the most gorgeous chicken I have seen. So dignified looking.

Eagle is not looking so dignified here, just really funny.

Gosh I hope Rose (who had curled toes - it rhymes) is a girl chicken.

Brownie was all brown and creamy looking when we got it and looked just yummy enough to be a Brownie. Who knew!

I can't seem to get the picture of Vixen to load. Anyway.

What kind of chicken is Eagle? He resembles an eagle.

I'm curious of all the unique names of everyones birds. I am trying to think of a good name for my golden lace cochin roo. the hen is "dixie" chick. Yeah, that's original. I only have two other silkies named "Barney" and Thelma Lou.

I like Dusty! And I don't already have one with that name. I will have to check with ds when he calls tomorrow. Thanks.

They are almost 3 months old already. Wow, I hadn't thought about it. They grow up so fast.

Eagle is an Araucana or whatever other names that breed goes by.

Eagle is an Easter Egger. Araucanas and Ameraucanas are two totally different breeds.

Beautiful Group of birds!

My folks have 5 golden laced cochin roos right now. We named them Inspector (when he was little he had a habit of stretching his neck out and inspecting everything), Rascal (the name says it all), Speckles (had a speckled head as a young chick), Perch (was forever flying up and perching on the edge of the brooder) and 2 Feathers (only has 2 main sickle feathers left in his tail after the others got finished with him). I like hearing the unusual names people give their critters as well.

Funny. I just found an article in Backyard Poultry Magazine describing the differences between the 3 types. I definitely do NOT have Araucanas. Mine all have tails.

How about Dovie? she looks a little like a dove.
We had a contest at school to name the chicks. My favorite suggestions were: Hillary Chicken, Beyounce, and Ms. Chick
