Need a new home for 2 ducks, Central IL

I thank you all that replied. I'm sorry you took the time to write all that...we do have 300sqft covered sand floor run and with an attached 40 sq ft house that is covered and fort Knox. We do live in the country on 4 acres...so do the neighbors, but this neighborhood is zoned residential...my former neighbors never had any problem with me having ducks, but new neighbors are frustrated that dogs are barking all the time at ducks. Legally, I don't have much standing here.

Here's the tmi part. This neighbor thing is the best excuse to get them to a safe happy home and not have my son blame it on me and not have my husband be suspicious. I'm finally leaving him after 20 years of lies and abuse. I've finally found my spine again. I have found a place in town, but city ordinance is no ducks or chickens. This will allow my 12 year old autistic son the chance to blame the neighbor dogs, which is the trutht if only partly, and not me for moving in a few weeks.
I have already been looking into a psychiatric service dog recommended by doctor as a new pet.

We do have a goldendoodle. They free range during the day and they are all happy together. But she's a mostly indoor dog and can't guard them all the time even if I was staying here.

I am just going to make an ad on online local garage sale site and see if we can do something closer...maybe we can even visit. I just didn't want a hundred questions about why I'm getting rid of them since everyone knows they're my babies and start any talk in this small town. People are already asking why my car is always at this other house and I just keep saying I'm fixing it up to be a rental.

I am so sorry. My offer stands. I just want to make sure there wasn't a way, I never expected it to be more complicated. Hopefully you feel better sharing with those that don't judge. Hoping for nothing but the best for you, your son and the ducks. Just know that they have a home with me if needed.

I am bawling. I just told my son. He took it way better than I thought. He just wants them safe and happy. I think after 2 years with ducks I'm the one who is actually still so attached.

I can't believe within 20 minutes of posting locally someone said they will add them to their flock of 3. They only live a mile away. They spend a lot of time on the deck watching them free range part of the day. They said their ducks are their pets! Best case scenario. She even sells duck eggs. I can't believe I didn't know there was someone so close by that also sold duck eggs.
I want to thank you all again for the support and your time. Especially you llombardo. ❤️
