I thank you all that replied. I'm sorry you took the time to write all that...we do have 300sqft covered sand floor run and with an attached 40 sq ft house that is covered and fort Knox. We do live in the country on 4 acres...so do the neighbors, but this neighborhood is zoned residential...my former neighbors never had any problem with me having ducks, but new neighbors are frustrated that dogs are barking all the time at ducks. Legally, I don't have much standing here.
Here's the tmi part. This neighbor thing is the best excuse to get them to a safe happy home and not have my son blame it on me and not have my husband be suspicious. I'm finally leaving him after 20 years of lies and abuse. I've finally found my spine again. I have found a place in town, but city ordinance is no ducks or chickens. This will allow my 12 year old autistic son the chance to blame the neighbor dogs, which is the trutht if only partly, and not me for moving in a few weeks.
I have already been looking into a psychiatric service dog recommended by doctor as a new pet.
We do have a goldendoodle. They free range during the day and they are all happy together. But she's a mostly indoor dog and can't guard them all the time even if I was staying here.
