If my baby chicks start growing a comb, does that mean their male?

Well each of them are about a week old and most are already growing a comb except for the two guaranteed females we got. Some chicks have a black comb but so far most of them have a yellowish peach comb.No. All chickens have a comb, including females. A larger, more boldly colored comb is typically a sign of a roo.
Yep everyone is growing tail feathers and have pin feathers on their back, the comb just freaks me outI was told that the females grow their tail feathers first and the males take a while for their tails to appear. Maybe that would help? It worked for me.
