I am very knowlagable in predators But I for the life of me cant seem to remember what predator only leaves the intestines isnt it a hawk? The only possible suspect in broad daylight I can imagine was a SSH or Coopers hawk who snagged dinner at my expense. Correct me if I am wrong. Opossums Like to bite birds off the roost, skunks and minks, and weasels eat the intestens first or tear the head off and lap blood. Foxes and coyotes eat everything. Cats of prey Carry there food off and bury it.
I had some chickens flip out one flew to the top of a pecan tree. My cat went into stalking mode then we found some scat looking like coon scat. we assumed she went into a bush and was startled by a sleeping coon. Then later after collecting eggs we saw my buckeye chick about 4 months old all that was left was a leg wing the head and the intestines perfectly on the ground.
This was broad daylight so I am guessing I had a hawk attack while I was in the yard and didnt pay it no mind as he drug the bird to a hidden spot behind my coop and went to town?

well thanks anyway

Bird of prey or more likely a coon.

Both have left the entrails behind, with my past dealings.

Good Luck
