Need a solution, having a hell of a time integrating newbies in

In my half century of raising chickens, I have always kept bantams separated from larger breeds if possible. This after once losing an OEG Bantam rooster to a Lakenvelder rooster. It wasn't the larger rooster's fault because the smaller OEG simply wouldn't leave him alone. And then one day the Lakenvelder had enough and dispatched the OEG with a spur through the head.

An update for anyone who's following:

I crated the problem hen within the run, so she can see the others but she's separated from everyone. "Chicken jail". This seems to have stressed her out to no end. Every time I peek into the run she's running the length of the crate trying to find a way out. I don't know that she's eating or drinking either, it appears that she pushed all her food out of the crate. Not sure what to do. It's only been a day, so maybe she'll calm down. But I'm worried about her getting over stressed and over heated in this 105 degree heat.

It's too hot for a stressed out hen. Could you try her with the other hen her size so she has a buddy? Chickens, even mean ones, are flock critters. I'd hate to hear you lost her from her driving herself crazy. On a much earlier thread I was dealing with a single rehomed Araucana. Between a raccoon attack and the other established ones trying to murder her, it took months for them to all settle down and it took many different combinations of isolating pairs and singles to stop the attacks. Stay cool and have patience!

There are only three hens total, plus the chicks.

At that temperature the chance of her killing herself is high. I would wait.
